A few have asked how to add this widget to your blog to show your latest Twitter Updates in the sidebar. Below are instructions for Typepad, Blogger and WordPress.
In Typepad:
- Login and go to Design.
- Then Content.Then you will see a visual layout of your blog (if you are not using Advanced Templates).
- Then from the left box on top choose Widgets.
- From the middle choose Featured: Twitter.
- From the right, Add This Module (same as Get Widget Now).
- Will bring you to the Twitter Login Screen.
- Log into Twitter and the widget will appear.
- Simply click to Install on Typepad.
- It will then bring you back to your Typepad account and confirm which blog to add it to.
- Click Save.
- Go back to Design, then Content.
- Now it is added to the bottom of one of your columns, the left most likely. Now drag and drop where you want it in the sidebar.
- Save Changes.
- You're done!
In Blogger:
- Login, go to the Dashboard and choose Layout.
- Add a Gadget.
- Choose HTML/JavaScript.
- Go here: http://www.sixapart.com/typepad/widgets/publishing-tools/twitter.html
- Then click to Get Widget Now.
- Login to Twitter.
- Copy the HTML code you see below the (Install on Typepad button).
- Go back to Blogger and the new HTML/JavaScript gadget which is still open, and paste the code in that box.
- Save. It is now the first item on one of your sidebars.
- Drag and drop where you want it on your blog.
- Save Changes.
- You're done!
In WordPress:
- Login and from the Dashboard, go to Appearance then Widgets.
- Click on Text Widget.
- It will now appear on the right of your screen.
- Save it.
- Then Edit that widget.
- Go to http://www.sixapart.com/typepad/widgets/publishing-tools/twitter.html and login to Twitter.
- Copy the HTML code under the (Install on Typepad) button.
- Paste the code in the Text Widget.
- Click Save.
- Then close the Widget.
- You're done!
