Tip #12: Call-to-Action
This is a must in building your site and improving SEO, however, you should NOT include a call-to-action in every post. If you do, readers will be turned-off and you may lose your followers.
So occasionally, it would be beneficial to:
- Include a reason to join your newsletter mailing list.
- Link to one of your products to purchase.
- Advertise an upcoming event.
- Vote on something on your blog.
- Offer blog candy.
Basically a call-to-action is asking your reader to do "something" and that "something" actually helps improve your business in some way whether it be financially, list building, or increasing reader participation.
Just remember again not to over do it.
