Thumbtack-purpleI'm excited to share this new series with you, called "101 Blogging Tips". In the series there will be 101 blogging tips that you can begin applying to your blog today! Don't wait, get started now!

Tip #32: Create a Series

This is what I have been doing with these 101 Blogging Tips. It's a set of posts, published in intervals, that are related by topic.  This can be done in a few ways and maybe you have another to share with us!

Example 1

So for my example, I have 101 Blogging Tips that I have decided to publish. I try to post one tip every day.  All the posts are related as they are focused on blogging or related to blogging, tips to help you improve "something" on your site. The series runs from 1 to 101.

Example 2

For Stampin' Up! demonstrators, may do what called a 12-weeks to Christmas newsletter. You can do this on your blog as well, instead of, or in addition to.  That would be 1 post a week for 12 weeks.

Example 3

Other uses a "series" in a different way where they dedicate a day of the week to a certain topic and it's "forever". For example, Mojo Monday is a sketch site and they have a new sketch to share every Monday.  Others have Technique Tuesdays where they post or share a new technique with their blog readers every Tuesday.

Example 4

Creating a series of posts that are related, but have no set "number" of posts. Like I have done with my Reorganize Your Blog, How to be Found on the Web, and Membership Sites series. This is when you break a big topic into components so it is easier read, easier for your readers to retain all the information, breaking it up so your visitors will want to come back and continue reading another article on that series.

Time and Commitment

The "series" technique is wonderful in keeping your readers interested, coming back for more, and excited to see what is coming next.  The thing to remember is, YOU MUST BE COMMITTED.  Running any kind of "series" takes commitment and time on you part. You have to deliver. That is the a key to a successful series – your followers wil be happy and continue to come back, and better, share with others your site and what great things they have found there!

Hope you come up with a series of your own 😀
