Michelle Laycock and I are proud to announce this new blog feature for Blogger and Typepad blog owners! It is very exciting to be able to offer you this new service.

So, what is a "Clickable, Navigation Banner?"

It is a banner, like mine above, that has built-in hyperlinks to other pages of your blog, other websites (such as your Stampin' Up! website), other blogs or an email (like my Contact Me link) for example.  It's just another way to let your visitors "navigate" through your blog quickly and to accent the most important features or areas of your blog. For example, for me I have a navigation link to each "service" I offer so visitors can quickly find it.

Who designs it and how much does it cost?

Michell Laycock (www.LaycockDesigns.com). If she originallly designed your banner, you can upgrade to a navigation banner for just $20 (and include a tabbed/folder look or other desired bar type).  If she is creating a banner for you from scratch instead of the static $30 banner it is now $50 for a clickable, navigation banner ($5 discount for SUDSOL or Technique Junkie members).  If your original banner was designed by another talented artist, then please contact MIchelle for pricing for this type of upgrade (stampinkitty@sbcglobal.net).

Who installs it and how much does it cost?

Me. After Michelle has completed your design, I can install the new navigation banner and all the required HTML/JavaScript code necessary to make it work.  The fee is $20 for installation ("Older Versions" of Typepad and Blogger formats). For the new "Everything Typepad" version, the fee jumps to $70 for installation due to the level of difficulty in installing the clickable banner and the use of the new Advanced Templates needed.

Additional Notes (IMPORTANT)

View both my samples, www.handstampedbyheather.com, a Blogger blog, as well as my Typepad blog, www.blogsbyheather.com.  Both have clickable banners.

However, if using Typepad, in order to have this new feature, you must be at a Pro-level package ($14.95) or higher because Advanced Templates is needed.  Transferring your blog to Advanced Templates requires a learning curve and a new of maintaining your blog. There is NO longer a graphical interface for adding new widgets (can't use the Widget gallery), instead new sidebar items can be added using HTML/CSS code.  Please read Typepad's help on Advanced Templates or feel free to ask me more or contact me about training on "how to maintain your blog using Advanced Templates."

You can also read more about this announcement on Michelle's blog (www.LaycockDesigns.com), and to view all her blog banner, background, watermark, and graphic design services.

Looking forward to sharing this new opportunity with you!
