For those of you using Constant Contact you may notice a few new things and I wanted to share them with you:
- Share buttons
- New Formatting Toolbar
- New sidebar palette for creating links, inserting images, etc.
You will immediately notice the changes when you choose to edit or create a newsletter. It now looks like this (snapshot of the view in my Blogs by Heather Newsletter):
With social networking booming, Constant Contact now makes it easier for you to allow your customers to quickly share your newsletter. Once you've click Finish after designing your newsletter you will be able to click on two new options about Tweeting your newsletter and/or including the new Share buttons at the top of your newsletter.
It takes a little getting use to using the toolbar when we've become accustomed to using the formatting options in the sidebar palette, however the toolbar is similar to those you have used in your blogs and other applications.
What I wanted to point out is that the HTML button (to view your newsletter in HTML if and when you need to make manual adjustments) is now the last button on the top row of the toolbar).
New Sidebar Palette
It is now in this palette that you click to insert an image, document, link, etc. This is the new "Insert" area whether you are inserting an image, social networking buttons, or paypal buttons for example.
- Inserting an Image URL (so you don't have to pay to store additional images in Constant Contact).
- Editing a newsletter template.
- Archiving your newsletter using MS Word.
- How to add your blog banner to your Constant Contact newsletter.
- How to add the Sign Up For My Newsletter box to your site.
- How to customize your Visitor Sign Up form in Constant Contact.
- If you'd like me to design your newsletter for you!
Enjoy and I hope you're having a great weekend! It's beautiful here in New York.
