Help, time, and donations are always welcome, but this time of year especially, I'd like to mention a few wonderful organizations I have asissted and to share with you a little about each one.
A little bit is appreciated in a big way!
Happy Holidays to these wonderful ladies, fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators and thank you for all you do!
Katie Burke, Daddy's Dreams
Daddy’s Dreams was founded in memory of her father, Dennis Carter, who passed away at the age of 61 from Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) in September 2009 after a long and brave battle with the disease. Daddy's Dreams volunteers and supporters are dedicated to being a source of strength for patients with "Works of Heart," "Happy Hats," and "Cards for Cancer Patients." Please consider volunteering your time or resources – or just sending in a few cards or crochet/knit caps. 100% of the items donated go directly to making the difficult process of treatment just a little easier for those who need it.
Lynn Pratt, Donations for Diabetes
From Our Hearts is a not-for-profit 501c3 that began with a simple request by a son for a few handcrafted cards so that he could send “special” cards home to his wife and children while he serving his 6th deployment in Iraq. Today, the initial dozen handcrafted cards have turned into thousands of quality, handcrafted cards created and donated to From Our Hearts every month by hundreds of stampers nationwide and shipped to our servicemen and women serving our country in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Happy Holidays and Best Wishes Always,
